There's mail...

A while ago I took another short walk to the mailbox to put something in it to go. The mailman was already there, putting things into the mailboxes and taking the "stuff to be sent" out.
I stood there for a minute, not sure what to do, and then he said something like, "Can I help you?" and I handed him the envelope saying I had come to send it. He took it and tossed it into an open box that I assumed that the "to send" stuff in it that he'd already taken out, as there were more things in it.
Right now, it's 12:19 p.m., and I need to make some lunch.

I am grateful that the storm that was in the area coming to Lake Charles this week has moved eastward toward another part of the state of Louisiana although my thoughts and prayers are for the persons in the path of the storm that makes landfall around dinner time today.
