Something new for supper

Saw a recipe in the reels. I was sure I saved it, but apparently I did not. I remembered most of it..it was for 4 pork chops, and I only had 2. Anyway..I took off and went to a couple of places to get things..then Walmart to get fresh Mushrooms...and some other things. Found an EC in the parking lot, but it was a mess..the bottom scraped every time I hit a bump. Got inside and traded it in for a better one. On the way home I remembered the recipe called for white wine. I haven't bought any alcohol in 25 years. I remembered they used to have those glasses with a single serve wine in them. Went into a convenient store and they did not have those. I looked and all I could find was a carton with 4 small bottles. Didn't have my glasses, so I picked up one that LOOKED like white wine. Took it to the check out, and asked the lady there if that was White Wine. She laughed and said yes ma'am it is. Went home. We starting to make the recipe. Instead of butter, I used Olive Oil, as butter burns so quick. got it hot and seared the chops...took them out and put onions, garlic, and mushrooms in the skillet. Let it cook for a few minutes..added flour, and a cup of water...let that simmer till it started getting a little thick, then added half the bottle of one of the little wine bottles. Let that simmer while I made mashed tates and Italian Green Beans. It tasted good, but the pork chops were over done...I had to leave them on longer than I should have to get the rest of the food ready. I even turned it down to LOW. Next time I will make sure I do not over cook the chops. Thank you Ibprofen..I got through shopping and cooking dinner without much pain! LOL
