Actually I guess it's more of a I wonder where... ...as it I wonder where rappers get their names. I just had to review a song for a side hustle website I use and the guys name was Lil Dead. That got me thinking about where some of these so called "artists" pick their names from. Lil Bow Wow and Lil Romeo were popular when I was growing up. They both dropped the Lil when they got older. Puff Daddy, or P Diddy or Puffy has gone through more nicknames than I can count. So I wonder if they come from nicknames they already had, or if they just pick things out of thin air. I guess the same could be asked of bands and where they pick names from. U2, Backstreet Boys, Jane's Addiction? Where did those names come from? Any ideas? Any thoughts? Or shall we be perpetually wondering these things? I do know that Nsync came from the last letter of their names. Lol, so there's your free boy band trivia of the day.

I know some, like Duran Duran is taken from the film Barbarella and UB40 is the name of the unemployed benefit form. As for rappers, who knows!

I guess they are just creative is all April. They sure are yep. Oh didn't know that about NSync. I thought 50cent would have changed his name to 50Billion by now.

I’ve seen a lot of names for medications that would be good for rappers. Instead of Queen Latifah, how about Queen Latuda? And what about the medication Skyrizi? Perfect for a rapper.

I know that the late Donna Summer got her stage name from her first marriage to Helmut Sommer and her record company changed her name to Summer and it stuck. I know some artists took their names after famous movie characters like Foxy Brown who was performed by Pam Grier.
