How do I become leaglly free form a past mistake?

made a mistake with domestic violence and now it could ruin the life that I have. I've seen my public defnder. I'm concerned that I will not get back to the life I once had. I made a mistake and have well leaned my lesson. I think I'm loosing sleep over it.

cases like this is difficult because once you made a mistake, all people would see is that one mistake you made and they would be waiting for you to commit another one. other's won't trust you anymore and would look at a you in a negative way. I guess all you can do is to show them that you're sincere in changing and just live your life as you did before
