What show was ruined for you by someone getting killed off?

I watched Grey's Anatomy for years. I had McDreamy as my background on my first color screen flip phone. I'm what the kids call an OG fan.
So it shouldn't be a surprise to you that I was pretty bitter when they killed McDreamy aka Derek Shepard off of the show.
I was already kind of bummed when they killed Lexie and Mark aka McSteamy off seasons before. But them killing Derek off kind of ruined the show for me.
So what character was killed off your favorite show that made you change your mind about the show or just ruined it completely?

Lexie and Mark not being written off together in a happily ever after was a huge mistake. It was a no brainer.
I’m trying to think of a good example. Oh, I don’t remember if they fake killed him off (because they made movies after the show was over) or just had him “missing” on the show, but when they wrote off David Duchovny as Mulder on The X-Files I quit watching. It ruined the show for me.

@thislittlepennyearns They “brought him back” for a subsequent movie after the series ended.

NCIS changed a lot after Ziva David was killed. When she came back to life it wasn´t the same as Tony Dinozzo was not there any longer. I stopped watching it.

I get more upset when they get rid of a character in a show. Or when they end goods shows.
