My finished painting of the still life.

Here is my finished still life. (See above) It has taken me 3 weeks to paint it on Thursdays inbetween doing other paintings. I drew it out first on acrylic paper. I painted the background first and then put texture in for the wallpaper using a sponge. When that was dry I painted in the background with a mixture of deep red and violet to make a kind of burgundy colour. I painted the desk on which the still life is sitting with scarlet so it contrasted a bit with the wallpaper. I painted the bowl that the fruit is in with white with a touch of lemon yellow in it so it was more of a creamy colour rather than bright white. I waited for that to dry before I painted the red of the bowl. The fruit were painted and then a slightly darker shade of the same colour was used for the shadow parts. I painted the vase with red and a little violet but not as much as the shadow so it wasn't as dark as that. And then we come to what I did today. I put in the shadows that the fruit, bowl and vase are making on the table, then I added a bit more texture into the wallpaper using a sponge. Lastly I put some white highlights on the vase, and now I think I really am finished. This painting is another one for the London Art Course. Tell me what you think of it in the comments. I'm on to some more paintings now, just for my own pleasure not for the art course. I'm hoping to redo the painting with the street lamp because I wasn't satisfied with the one I did, but I don't know wether that will be today or not now. I might draw it out today even if I don't start painting it. But we'll see. I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.
