Woo! That was crazy.
On the ride up (two towns over) to my appointment, I got a driver who hardly said a word, had a really soft voice when she did speak, and was wearing a mask so I didn't hear her three quarters of the time.
The nurse/doctor I had was really nice, and told me that instead of the treadmill test they were going to do something else.
First, I sat on this table-like thing that rose into the air a bit (the nurse/doctor told me that if I felt different at any time I should let her know). I rested my head and arms on a padded bar and there were three square things that went all the way around my torso taking x-rays. I also got "stickers" on me (the kind they put on you in the hospital to read whatever they read).
Second, I laid on this reclining dentist like chair and got this stuff injected in me via i.v. That made me feel nauseous. The lady I was with then even gave me a bag just in case I got sick. She told me to move my feet around so my body would think it was exercising.
Lastly, I went back to the x-ray thing and it went all the way around my torso again.
I got out early, and...well, first I couldn't get ahold of the company that drove me there, then I called the people in charge of the transportation, and the young man I spoke to got ahold of the other company...which said they were booked up and couldn't come get me for two more hours...
Then I received a message saying my driver was there, but when I went outside I saw no one, so I went back in, and a lady said she just spoke to a guy looking for me and he just went out the door, and I tried calling the company he came from again...
Sigh. Anyway, I finally ran into the guy, who had parked on the opposite side of the building from where I was, and he was very nice and finally got me home.
Oi. Quite the day. I'm glad that I thought to bring a book with me so that I at least could keep myself busy reading during some of the waiting. I also ate most of a box of fruit and granola bars I had brought with me because I wasn't allowed to eat anything this morning. I wasn't allowed to have anything caffeinated since nine o clock last night, either. Tomorrow morning I will so enjoy my coffee!
I am very sure that I will sleep well tonight.
Hope that you all had a good morning/afternoon/evening/etc. in your part of myLot land!

I hate that stuff in the IV. It's contrast and it always makes me feel like I peed myself.

I've had contrast dye before plenty of times--it's never made me feel like this.

@thislittlepennyearns Yes, they told me to tell them if I felt anything different.

Yeah. Had to do a lot of waiting to do outside Walgreens today because the first driver that came to get us couldn't take my wheelchair and was rather rude about it.

It was. The day wasn't super pleasant--I still feel sick to my stomach.
