Let's Talk: Five People You Want to Have Dinner With

This is an age old conversation. Its been asked of people over and over , over the years. I thought it would be fun to share who the five people (Dead or alive, famous or not ) who I would invite over for dinner, and see what everybody else's picks were. So my first choice would be Lucille Ball. No question. I have loved her since I was little. I have seen every single episode of every show she had. I've read books about her. I think most people don't realize or don't know how much she truly affected Hollywood. Desilu Productions was a game changer for Hollywood. If you don't know Desilu was the production company her and her then husband Desi Arnaz built. My second choice is Kenny Chesney. Which shouldn't surprise any of you. I have listened to Kenny's music since I was in middle school. I have always been a country girl, even before I lived in the country. I'd love to talk to him about his music. Elon Musk is my third choice. Complain about him if you want. Say the man is crazy if you want. I know there are a few of you that will think this is a stupid choice because he is buddy buddy and endorsing Trump. But you should take a few minutes and educate yourself on what Elon has done not only for technology, for the planet but for the American People. Yeah he is wealthier than just about anyone, but he is truly a different breed. Plus somebody who is that smart would be so cool to talk to and to prick his brain. Numero four is Hilarie Burton. Some of you may know who she is. I've mentioned her before a couple times before. She hosted TRL. She was on Dawsons Creek. She was also Peyton Sawyer on One Tree Hill. I was the girl with the black eyeliner, the notebooks and the emo music in high school so I felt a kinship with her character on One Tree Hill. She's also done a bunch of work personally that I just respect. And my final one is Earnest Hemingway. Which also shouldn't surprise anyone. I have written and read like a crazy person since I first learned how to do both things. Hemingway has always been my favorite. I used to have a copy of his books that was within reach most of the time. He would be awesome to sit down and talk to. So there's my five. It's a long post, if you made it this far congratulations. But I have been thinking about it for awhile. What about you? Can you think of five people dead or alive that you would want to sit down and have dinner with?

Well, I’m taking two people out of the running immediately because if I ate dinner with either of them, I’ll ignore the others. I’m taking Jesus out because I’d pepper him with questions, and wouldn’t care who else was with Him. The second person I’m taking out is my late mother. I wouldn’t care about anyone else but her. So first would be the Apostle Paul because I want to know what his affliction is. Scholars say it was terrible eyesight, but I’d like to know for sure. Plus, he went from hating Christians to being one. Let’s talk about that. Secondly, is Betty White. I loved The Golden Girls, and I’ve read her books. She saw so much of old Hollywood, then even hosted SNL at 88. She never quit working. Third, is Yogi Berra, author of famous quotes like “It ain’t over ‘til it’s over”, and “When you get to a fork in the road, take it.” The baseball he saw an experienced is unmatched. He played baseball when players had jobs in the offseason. Fourth, is old time star Hedy Lamarr. Actress, pin up girl sure, but also an inventor who aided the making of military weaponry, who attended arms deals, and basically was a boss. Fifth, is the guy I’m going to marry. Because I’m tired of waiting, and I’d like to move along the process.

@thislittlepennyearns I’d really like to know why Kenny Chesney married Renee Zellweger though.

@AmbiePam I have wondered that since it happened. Like WHY!?! And she was so mean to him when they got divorced. I could write a whole series on that fiasco.

I agree about Hemingway. Others on my list would be J.S. Bach, Albert Einstein, Mark Twain, Keith Jarrett, P.G. Wodehouse, and Richard Thompson.
