All of the US auto factories are located here, Ford, GM and Chrysler as well as all of their headquarters. Hence, the "Motor City" :-) Ever hear of Henry Ford? He was born here too :-)

Motown, Techno, Jazz roots (before motown), Soul, Rock (iggy pop), Kid Rock, Aretha, Madonna, Jeff Mills, and the list goes on. Cars The first stoplight was also invented in detroit. question is...what is detroit not famous for?
