Our guard have a badbreath!

We have security guard in our apartment , he is a very gentleman,kind and he always love making a joke just to make us laugh,but i have a problem only one thing , :( he have a bad breath! i feel suffocated also everytime he talk, so i took a little space more also if he starts talking , i dont wanna hurt his feeling too so i decided to bought him a breathfreshener,today i gave it to him and he was so thankful, i hope he dont misunderstand but im just trying to help, im pretty sure im not the only one who can smell his power , :( i swear i just want him to be more presentable as a worker of our residence , i told him its an early christmas gift for him ^.^ how about you guys ,how can you say to someone if they have badbreath that they are not feel offended?

you definitely gave him a hint, but i don't know if i would do that. i think it might hurt his feelings, because who gives breath freshener as a gift?

Yeah, I think I'd try offering some mint too. 
They may or may not take the hint, but people usually accept the gift.
