It is raining in Calcutta it is really disgusting in the winter to have rain. Winter is known for bright sunny weather. As the Bay of Bengal is around 160 km away from Calcutta always there is a bay effect.

If the rain is not too fast, it could have a positive impact. It could reduce the dryness that one gets during the winters. In fact, we like when there are some rains in January and February. Rains in winters (in a limited quantity) is good for crops like Wheat.
