Hello again, myLot!

I went and caught the bus to go back to my old neighborhood, as I had a Christmas card I wanted to drop off to a neighbor. I wondered if they were going to be home, but fortunately I saw the man's truck in the driveway, and when I got closer that the garage door was open, and sure enough my old neighbor was out in his garage, with his Husky, working on something. We chatted about things that have been going on, and then another friend of his showed up, so I waited until they left, then we continued our conversation, then I left. I went down the street closer to my old house (I got off the bus at the street further away from it) and on a whim stopped at my old boss' house to say hello. She and I chatted for a while, and I was talking about selling some of Mom's old jewelry, so she gave me some old jewelry of hers that I could try selling if I wanted. She gave me one of the Christmas cards that they had had made to give out too, so that will go on the ribbon where I'm displaying my cards that I receive this year. After I was done there, I headed home, and it sprinkled/rained on me a bit so I got a little wet, but no big deal. When I walk in the rain I can hear my pastor's wife. When I was young and said said something about not wanting to walk in the rain, she'd say, "Well you're neither sugar nor salt." Now I'm home, a little damp, but none the worse for wear. I'm going to get something for lunch, and then do Bible study, and then write something in the little book that I'm calling my "supplemental" journal (not going to go crazy trying to figure out what I did with the original, and I may find it next year ).
