What are some interesting ways to make children believe that santa had delivered their gifts?

HElloo,
My friend is celebrating christmas with her niece and nephew who are 3, 5 respectively and today she casually pinged me asking how to make children believe that santa had delivered their gifts?
I gave her some ideas, but they are smart kids, she may get caught. Haha. Any suggestions from you guys would be highly appreciated.

My parents placed all the Christmas gifts under the tree at night while I was asleep, Then I woke up and saw all the presents otherwise there where none when I went to sleep,

Put the presents under the tree when the kids are asleep; and the tags should read: From Santa.. Have a good week.

I always did it after they went to bed. And if they leave milk and cookies out make sure it disappears
