a lot of people have ideas of what is truth and what isn't true. as people we naturally judge people and situations as a means of survival. I am black. and though I haven't officially dated a guy of another race, I have flirted and have friends of different races and nationality as well as family(in-laws i.e cousins, aunts, uncles etc) that are of different races and in the end we are all people. there will always be hate against my race ( why I have yet to know a logical answer) even though we are one of the largest contributors to 20th century technology ( refrigeration, gas mask, traffic lights, modern rotation of crops, the street sweeper, lawn sprinkler, air conditioner, mop, dust pan, and more recently a black man was a major creating force behind the world wide web !) and maybe that's what makes some people mad. that blacks as a race though mistreated , neglected and spit upon never lost their natural creative energy and the haters are reminded everytime they do almost anything. So hey, date and marry anyone you want. cause It's not what's on the outside, it's what's within.

I am only reminded of the color of skin by others who label me this or that and that gets tiring! I am "me" and anyone who doesn't take the time to get to know me and prefers to judge me by my skin color is not worth my time or energy. I married out of my race and culture and know that I am all the more richer for it and besides he's the sweetest man on the planet!

Its all depend on the perception of an individual... otherwise skin color does not matter at all and there are many example, which makes us to beleive this. What exactly matter is inner beauty... yes beauty of ur heart

It seem that you must have some very bad experiences on what you are telling here. Its pretty sad to hear that but you need to believe that not all are the same.I hope one day you will find what am saying was true:)

I seem to have confused another group of people , I actually have quiet a few friends that are not of my race and we get along just fine and race is actually not an issue at all. I acidentially started this post on the first day i joined, it's worded in the way that is because it was actually a response to someone elses post.

Ignorance comes in many forms.Cruelty is on of them. Because of ignorance we are all judged. In the end God will have the Final say. I am raising my children to be colorblind therefore race isnt an issue. We are all the same race....HUMAN RACE

amen. that is what I was raised to be and that is what I will continue when I have a family

Too many people once they have formed a judgement will refuse to acknowledge any other pattern of thought, it’s terrible to see. We’re individuals.

you are correct, I was actually responding to another post where the member was from southern U.S. and was dating outside her race and her family upon meeting the guy said that it wasn't as bad if she'd been dating a black or mexican. if you see the last line of my post I was saying that she should be encouraged to know that not all people think the way her family does.

It doesn't matter what race group you belong to, first you have to depend on the support you get from your own group. If that's there I think it doesn't matter what others think about you. Like you said it if they are your rivals for any reason, you'll go nuts if you try to get any support from them because that's how things are, most of the time each group tries to make its particular group better than others in many areas. If that's going to get to you, you will end being a mental wreck, and most people that suffer from psychological disorder are people that are asking what they shouldn't. Talk about relationship and if you are easy going, there are dozens who want to jump into your pants, whether you are black or any other race, I'm one for example, because I know myself. But if you build some barrier around you, your own people will find it difficult to pass through it. So, cheer up, things are not as bad as you are trying to paint them, except that don't go for a tall order. If a team sits through a game and lose a game, whose fault is going to be?

the team you can't expect to get anything if you never play the game in the first place

I think the majority of people have put racism behind them, there are very few people that still think the color of your skin makes you who you are. You know there are still a few blacks that keep themselves down because they think that they are looked up differently because they are black, I think that's just their excuse for being nobodys in life. Today in age you can make anything of your self if you have the ambition, no matter the color of your skin. Although I believe racism will never completely disappear because there are people who are ignorant and will never get past it.

i believe the only color that matters is the color of your personality.anything else is redundant.i believe in the human race only and pity those people who practise racism because they are wasting their lives on something infinitely purposeless and futile

It kind of sounds as though something has personally happened to you that you're looking for someone to verify your thoughts on the matter. There will always be hate that's a human race issue. Not just balck and white. People hate other people for many reasons most of which are unjustified. Date who you want, love who you want, marry who you love and loves you the same. Discrimination on the other hand is completely different. We all are guilty of it and being completely truthful with yourself you can't deny it. It's all good.
