Wow. Challenging afternoon.
After I sent the resume that I finally got tweaked, I got a phone call from the place I was trying to apply for a job for. I talked to the lady about the job--and the more I spoke to her, the less I felt like I wanted the job, given the information that she gave me.
One of the things that she said is that they wanted an unofficial copy of my college transcript, and I couldn't get into the website because I did not have my "student number" nor did I remember my password (it has been several years since I've been a student at the Junior College). So, another phone call and getting shifted from person to person. By the time I got a person who gave me the information I needed, it was time for me to leave to catch the bus to an appointment.
At the appointment, I told the lady I spoke to about how they cut off the funds for my EBT (food stamp) card because according to them, I kept missing a meeting that I never got any information about. The lady looked it up on her computer, and found the address of where to go, which was just down the road in a place I thought I was familiar with.
I took the bus and got down the road and spent an hour or close to it looking for this place, and finally I went to one of the buildings and asked someone where it was. Turns out it was across another road from where I was.
Finally I got to the place, and then realized that I'd forgotten my purse with my ID and whatnot in it, which of course I needed.
When I went to speak to someone, I was told it was okay, and was given a number that was actually only 3 numbers from getting to the "help desk".
Long story short, when I finally spoke to someone and explained I didn't have my purse or info, she had me fill out some papers and told me to come back Monday (assumedly with my purse/info). She said at 7a.m.
I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to get there that early, but I'll get there as early as I can.
Now I am home, and I am so done. Now I just want something to eat.
Hope that all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

Maybe she meant the place opens at 7? Some businesses will do that for those who work your atypical 9-5.
