Jetty surfing!

A lot of the beaches, I've noticed, have these jetties or piers that go out into the sea. This was one of the longer ones - stretching almost 1 kilometre into the water. It used to be longer apparently, but some of the supports and boards slowly got damaged. It's amazing to literally walk into the sea, but can be a little scary as there are no rails on one side! A lot of people fish from these and some do jetty diving to swim in the seas.

I have seen some of the jetties or piers on television related to the beaches in Florida.

They can get very windy and cold, but the views and feeling are awesome.
