Youngsters are dropping off from my life

I find this phenomena weird. Those that were in my life when they were young be they family, neighbours, friends they are all forgetting my existence They have more love for what they find in their mobile than sitting with me and having a chat that was a norm than an exception in the good old days I am not sure if I have added this poem earlier but here it is in case you wish to read it THE NOW GENERATION I see them rushing everywhere, For those around, they don’t care Going past with a ‘Hi’ and ‘Bye’ ‘Have no time’ they say with a sigh! They run to catch a bus or a train In the slush and dirt of the pouring rain Their job’s at stake they seem to say This is their life from day to day. With one hand glued to their cellphone They wait for the sound of the musical tone Chatting away, not a moment to spare, Looking neither here nor there. Their thoughts are scattered everywhere The kids at school, with none to care What about food their thoughts go there The cleaning routine there’s none to share Throwing their hands at times in despair Our life they say is beyond repair The choices are several where could they go They have to rush they can’t go slow. Yet they have a smile on their lips They go about, swinging their hips Their popular slogan, ‘leave us alone’ ‘It‘s our business you mind you own’

The younger generation cares more about being on their cell phone than talking to the person next to them.

That's so relatable. And I feel bad for them. They are a victim of the digital world. I wish they could see the real joys in real life, rather than being in virtual world most of the times.

Sadly the world has taken these state of affairs in its stride. Nothing much is being done to change the situation

@allknowing Yes, and with more advanced technology like AI invading every aspect, human touch and interactions are going to be minimal. I really am concerned about that and fear that stage.

I think kids before and today are totally alike, but the only difference is the technology advancement of today. And the sad part about it is they are more mentally abused by what they saw and read on social media that they think is true and got influence so wrongly. I think we all have the same dilemma it is just that the generation today are being weak because of the bad influence of the people they follow and watch on social media. I feel sad for them.

If you can't beat them, join them... share your phone details and maybe they will text you!

Their interest is not to spend time with me but spend it on the Net
