That is a hard question. I think it is up to the family. However...I have heard that it can put a lot of pressure on the child and the family. Then there are expenses too..clothes, travelling etc. You have to weigh the pros and cons and make sure it is for you....

I would LOVE for my daughter to model. I plan on letting her experience it, but if she doesn't like it -- it's done with. No matter how much I would like her to model, do acting, etc. If she ends up not liking it, that's her choice. But atleast she gave it a try.

Why not? You can try and see if anything comes out of it. I think it is alright as long as you can afford to do it without putting your livlihood in jepordy.(sp) I aw some extreme cases the other day on Maury and the mother could not pay her bills. I guess the keyword would be moderation.

i`VE THOUGHT ABOUT ENTERING MY DAUGHTER INTO MODELING AND BEAUTY CONTESTS, BUT SOMETIMES IT GETS OUT OF HAND AND BECOMES MORE OF A POPULARITY CONTESTS FOR THE CHILDREN. YOU COULD ALWAYS TRY IT ONCE OR TWICE AND SEE WHAT ITS LIKE. YOU NEVER KNOW UNTIL YOU TRY IT YOURSELF!

A baby doesn't much care at the time, and somehow I doubt a grown child will be shattered for life if you tell them they were a baby model.

I think you should wait untill they can decide on their own. Its exploiting your child at an early age, and you if you start getting into a habbit of being like a stage mom than it could ruin your childs life.

Why not... If later on she decides not to carry, she can quit any time. but it will help to mature them more faster...

i guess baby modeling is something some parents have to do, otherwise the adds for clothing, diapers and anything baby related would have no subjects in them...as the child gets older(ages5-12), the parents should no longer force their children to model/act/sing etc...allow them to decide for themselves...
