In One Breath She Told Me I Cared To Much

In the next she told me I only cared for my friends and loved ones out of selfish game. I have sense cut communications with this person, because well the conversations got more negative! But as a believer I am called to care for others, the Lord has given me a gift of being able to read cues, and he puts it on my spirit to know when something is wrong when I need to pray and ask others to pray too! It's not necessarily an easy thing, especially when you watch a friend crush under a weight you cannot understand, and another trying to navigate life without her Mother, and another dealing with a broke L2 Vertebrae as well as heart issues, just a couple of years ago she lost her daughter, when I wrote a piece about how despite everything she never lost her faith or her smile, I was once again told that it was to negative by the same person! Of course there's a confidentiality to what I do, I do not give out names unless I am given the okay, and in many cases the details are vague, but one thing that is always welcomed is prayer! So no I am not going to give up, because someone says that I pray for others for selfish game, because they don't understand the weight of those prayers, nor do they understand the blessing it is to pray for others!

We are all part of something bigger. I cannot see helping others being a bad thing.

That is messed up. I would hate to be that person because they must be so miserable inside. Keep that praying, girl!

Oh that is sad and a very odd point of view from said person! Prayer is a gift, it cost nothing, and should be greeted and accepted with pleasure. I don't blame you for cutting ties with her. You don't need the negativity!

Amen. Praying to God is powerful. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Yes there will always be negative people and while we can never change other people, we can always change ourselves. Praying for others is a good practice that more people should do imho. It makes the world a much better place especially when we pray for the conversion of sinners.
