I am decluttering my wardrobe which includes my shoes. I just notice that I only need type of shoes in my life. I have two rubbers shoes, I alternately used as my walking shoes or at times when I do random household errands and attend events that are not too formal; 2 leather shoes (one black and one brown shoes) which I used to office; sandals that I used when I just want my feet to be in a more relax and breezy feeling.

There was a time when I had a full shoe cupboard with around a dozen or more. But once I started moving to minimalist living, I cut down on that. I just have four pairs as of now and they are serving me well. I bought my last sandal in 2023. I have to replace it soon.

@larish Yes, and it feels good to be sorted in mind and in physical space. The house looks more organized with minimum things.

Decluttering is fun.
My wife did the same as.you are doing and she hadn't worn some of the shoes for years and years.
She mostly wears trainers, slippers and motorcycle boots.
She kept one pair of formal shoes and threw the rest out

Honestly, declutter really gives calmness at this point of our lives (me and my husband). Although, we still have a lot of things to declutter. In addition, please allow me to share what insights I gain from my reading and viewing, I have learned that decluttering can takes years before we can say that we are really a minimalist. This being said, seems that we are not even half of decluttering. lol!

We went from clutter to minimalist in a very short space of time
The more we got rid of the more we liked the house.
