Do you need to eat spicy food constantly so you can get used to it?

I used to eat half spicy ramen but i did it on a monthly basis. Since Korean ramen isn't that cheap and the last time i ate it was a month or two, not sure was the long wait the reason or that this particular ramen was really spicy, like it says on the cover. So, yes, abort mission. I handled eating this dish in half, my eyes getting teary, very strong flavour but my tongue and mouth burning, making it numb, i couldn't handle it any more minute. I still feel burning, 20 minutes after my dish.

Get ready to go to the bathroom after the spicy food has finished entering your stomach.

@grenery8 Usually I add rice to reduce the spiciness, without it my brain might get damaged because of the spiciness.

I don't like really hot and spicy food. A little bit of heat is OK.

I quite like spicy food. Never had a problem with hot or spicy food. I quite enjoy the burn and the after burn. Numb gums are ok lol. You could come and taste on of my home cooked curry dishes. Hot and spicy but balanced.

No! Hehehehe, I don't really eat spicy. I can eat mild spicy ramyeon and ttekbokki other than that - I can't! And I hope people who are not really comfortable eating them should not eat them, specially when they have heart problem it can trigger them.

I guess the more often you eat it the more you get used to it. However, if it were way way to spicy for me i probably wouldnt try to get used to it . I would just have something else
