If Great Britain has the Big Ben, Makkah (spelled Mecca by some internationally) in Saudi Arabia has also the majestic Clock Tower near the Kaaba, where the Muslim pilgrims perform their religious ritual omrah. The place is really wonderful but it is always crowded with people from different parts of the world.
Some people go there to die because for them it is holy to die in the most sacred place for Islamic believers.

Thank you for sharing this meaningful information. I didn’t know that Makkah has such a majestic Clock Tower near the Kaaba—it's fascinating to learn how iconic it is, much like Big Ben in Great Britain. It must be an incredible experience to witness such a spiritually significant place, especially knowing how deeply it touches the lives of so many people around the world. I truly appreciate you shedding light on this.

@Neil43 I suppose they have all the funds and assets available to them to make every effort to enhance the environment around their nation's holiest site. I suppose it is only fitting that they invest in making that location beautiful so that it is both pleasant and sacred for their adherents.

It really is quite imposing.
The Clock Tower near the Kaaba is impressive too.
I had no idea that people would go there to die.
I did know it was sacred
