Getting anything done with a Government be it for permissions, or licences it is a pain. They will ask for documents whicfh we may not have and the work remains at a standstill If we need any documents that will take ages before they can comply and for that they expect under the table payment In order words Govenment is a blockade at every step of the way. What has been yoru experience?

Same, if government wanted to improve on anything it should be its quickness. Most of them keep their nation well employed, how about some fastness too, a little sense of urgency. Why people do not trust their governments . Its not need to be fast as corporate, but should not be led to here where people finally dying.

Well, it's the same even there in the US? The image of The United States of America is not this what I read your comment. It's a pretty advanced country with no such headaches what were talking about. So what's the difference between corrupt countries and the US? I mean I know what I am talking about and please take this question just in just a rhetoric sense.

@abhi_bangal Us is slowest advanced country. Norway and those guys much ahead of us, but I get you, we have the most money for some reason.

@crossbones27 I feel whatever development there was, it's filled almost to the brink. And that's why there's development saturation. Skyscrapers, roads, entertainment, education, science, medicine, technology, space... Almost everything is there. (Mental health, peace of mind, and satisfaction?) On the contrary, there are dozens of countries for whom this all is a dream. PS: Ohhhh yes, money too.

I work in the government and I make sure that my clients would be served immediately. I also observed the improvement in the services of some government agencies in our area. One example is when I renewed my driver's license. It took me less than 2 hours and I have my new license which is already valid for 10 years. Before, I need a whole day before I got my license.

You compared your driving licence experience in such a cute manner. The comparison, like you said earlier you used to take an entire day to get the same procedure done and now you got it within couple of hours only. My dear friend, here we take a few weeks to get the same thing done. And still that goes without saying that we need to pay something. I don't know when we will have the mindset like yours, as you make it a point that your clients should be served immediately. I don't think we are going to see that in our lifetime. The way we have been experiencing things here for decades now. It's such a poor thing.

Absolutely, I can relate. It's the same experience here in my country. A lot of people working in the government are unfortunately corrupt, and they always seem to find ways to make money off of us citizens whenever we need something—whether it’s permits, licenses, or even basic documentation. They make the process unnecessarily difficult, delay things on purpose, and often expect a bribe just to move things forward. It’s really frustrating, especially when all we want is to follow the law and get things done the right way. The system ends up punishing those who try to be honest.

You are right. I am facing the same problem. In the my city the government contractors have started using agents to ask for bribe.
