Yes, today, more than 130 cardinals from different countries will come to Vatican and elect the new pope after pope Francis sudden passing on April 21. Who will the next pope be and how long will the voting take, we will see. I couldn't resist these recent happenings so i watched also the movie from the last year, Conclave starring Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Litgow, Isabella Rosellini. Fieness serves as a dean and was shaken up due to the last pope's passing. He is obliged to moderate everything including voting for a new pope but he doesn't expect so many secrets, political wars, intrigues and mysterious guests in the middle of it all. What made me watch this movie is also a beautiful portray of Fueness character, who wants to know the truth and who can't avert his gaze to bad things and, his eyes; i am his fan since The English Patient movie. Tucci is okay but i wonder did he cook for the crew as he was doing in his culinary documentary series through Italy; is it a coincident he starred here or not There are some similarities with the pope Francis's election in this movie and yes, the movie got 2 Oscars, one for the best script and other for the best picture. Movie was not too long, 1 hour and 53 seconds and very interesting to watch. I recommend it. As for the actual election for the pope, i hope for less scandals or dealing with these scandals, less intrigues and more power to women in church but we'll see what the white smoke will tell.
