Weight Watchers, or WW as they're called now, has reinvented themselves and their weight-loss system many times over the decades.
But the increasing popularity of weight-loss drugs like Ozempic, etc. they are finding the competition to be too much for them.
Despite how easy it is to track points and use technology in the new WW system, people are still looking for an easier fix.
I was successful twice on WW over the years, and unsuccessful once more recently a few years ago.
Dieting has been around since the industrial revolution at least. Before that, people seldom got enough to eat or if they did, they didn't care about their size.
What do you think of Weight Watchers and/or their bankruptcy?

What a shame another business down the drain.

It's always sad when a company has to file; but it makes sense in today's market.

I've heard about Ozempic a few years ago and it used to be a popular medicine for diabetec patients, but due to its efficacy in being able to control one's hunger, it became a trend for most people. For a few months, celebrities became slim and even younger looking for some. I just wonder if this has huge side effects since it's still new and there's not much research about it.
There were predictions before that weight loss products would top the market, but I didn't expect that it's going to be in a form like Ozempic.

I don't know much about what they do - except they probably help people to lose weight. Sorry about them going bankrupt, but people are always looking for easier ways to achieve their desired goal. I no longer diet or watch my weight - it is 110 lbs and has remained there for the past 10 years. My method was simply changing the kinds of foods I ate before.
