Cryptocurrencies should either be regulated or banned

The issue of online trading is already a big problem to many economies of the world. The US Dollar has for a while been the most accepted currency by international traders. However, its power and significance is quickly hitting the forex trough as a result of emergence and preference of cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin. A bitcoin dollar for example could be used to transact businesses worth hundreds of thousand US Dollars. This means currencies such as those of DCs could be rendered useless in international trade. Regulation of the use of cryptocurrencies which in most cases evade duties during transaction should be regulated if countries with low value currencies are to survive. The South Sudanese Pound for instance is considered a useless piece of paper before a Ugandan 5K shilling note, just the way 1million Ksh is almost worthless before a Bitcoin Dollar. The way forward is for the DCs to either regulate the transactions in cryptocurrencies or ban them all together or else they will not have any of their local currencies accepted in international trade (especially export-related).

Cryptocurrency was born out of desire to step away from centralized financial system having freedom and autonomy. So regulating it might undermine this core principle. The government can regulate the companies as a business entity but not the cryptocurrency itself.

@SIDIKIMPOLE Is it because of the cryptocurrency? Based on what I understand, our economy can be a result of several factors such as policies, infrastructures, technology, innovations, productivity, to name some.
