The maid had a jackfruit cleaned and cut for me. I cooked it a couple of days ago and only then realised it was too tender and did not taste good
I am having a guest today and although there will be other dishes I was wondering if I could take out the jackfruit dish as well but since it did not taste good I was wondering if there was a way to add something I did find something - paneer
I will add paneer to the dish and it will be pretty edible
Quite happy with this decision.

Jackfruits were once a very popular fruit in my area, but now they are rarely found in the market. I used to enjoy eating them raw or in the sweetened version that my grandmother would prepare. However, I could not eat too much of it, as overconsumption often caused me indigestion..

They are hard to digest The problem ihere is we do not get anyone to harvest them and that being the case they are expensive for those who want to buy them.

@allknowing There is a place where this fruit is abundant and consistently available for purchase. However, its novelty appears to have diminished in the area, as fewer people now buy and consume it compared to the past.

@rsa101 Cleaning a jackfruit is hard work and today's youngsters will not spend their precious time doing it and that could be one reason why there is not much demand
