As himalayas have alpine vegetation sun can penetrate for shorter time

In the himalayas the diurnal range is shorter. Days are shorter. One of the reasons is the alpine vegetation they cover huge amount of height. So the sun can penetrate for shorter time. In winter it snows. In summer also it is cool.
