Hog Plums

We have a hog plum tree that has seedless hog plums They are fleshy and sour When they are ripe they turn a bit sweet Mostly hog plums are cooked when they are green. They shed the leaves and then fruits appear
A few cuts are made on them and soaked in water to remove the sourness. They are then cooked with masala, jaggery and tempered with mustard
A delicious dish.

Its cool to have trees where you just pick what you need or anything for snacks.
