The Detroit Lions Withdraw their Propsal

I didn't realize that in the Spring meetings, the Detroit Lions sent in a proposal to change the play-off seeding. Right now, only the division winner in each conference get the home playoff game no matter what their record is. The proposal was that the division winner with the best record gets the home playoff game. Then the rest would be decided by record. They want to keep the late season games exciting and competitive. However there wasn't enough support backing the proposal so they withdrew it before the formal vote today. There is nothing that says it won't be revised and brought back up next year or later. I don't see where there's anything wrong with changing the seeding of the playoffs, it may even switch up the teams from the ones that we always seem to see. There's a lot of luck that goes into the seeding when it should be skill. If they do bring it back up, I'm excited to see what they come up with. This is one change that I may actually like. *all info comes from ESPN

Since my husband passed, I've lost all interest in football. We used to watch it together all of the time. I'm glad Detroit made a change you may like.
