Gender and Development Planning With a Minimal Budget

A recent memo was cascaded to our level requiring the villages to submit the Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget for the coming year. Due to having a short time for long time preparation, I decided to incorporate the planning on the monthly meeting with the secretaries of the villages.
Upon checking, the fund available for the activity is only enough to serve snacks. I worried that we cannot finish the activity in half day. So I decided to shoulder the food to be served for lunch . My daughter in law helped me in the preparation of the food.
It was a successful activity and the secretaries were attentive and cooperative. Being a leader, there are times when we need to take responsibility by covering expenses just to ensure that the activity will pursue and our team will not go hungry.

We have a law that require every local government unit including villages to come up with an annual Gender and Development Plan, hence this planning workshop.

Thank you. We can only spend what is in the budget. So in excess of that, we cannot reimburse. It is okay for as long as my team is doing well.
