Do men wear ties anymore?

Even in business it seems that the tie is becoming a thing of the past. Many of the men I encounter at conferences no longer wear them, just a sharp shirt and jacket. What about you or your partner?

I used to wear ties when I was in school and on my first job at airport but now ties are out of my life. I only wear them in marriages of my friend.

Depends on what kind of job they have. The last place I worked all of the sales guys were required to wear a tie, if you taught classes & did not have a company shirt you had to wear a tie (males of course), the job my fiance had before the one he is at now required the males to wear ties as well. I know they are not common place, but I like the look. My Dad worked at the same company for 30+ years and had a closet full of cuits that he had no use for once his company switched to a more casual look. He disliked it because it allowed people to dress too casual. My fiance will wear a tie if he has to, but not on a regular basis. Heck I am happy if I can get him out of t-shirts and his pants with the 20 pockets.

Ties are outdated, and were stupid when they were introduced. Why should a piece of fabric determine who's dressed well and who isn't. It's arbitrary.
