Rain, Rain, Go Away.

I’m not someone who hates the rain, but it’s been raining nonstop since last night. And me, being the “genius” that I am, decided to grab my umbrella and still walk to the coffee shop. Obviously, my laptop is working, but that wasn’t fun. The walk is only 4 minutes, but it’s not exactly drizzling outside. By the time I was ready to skip it, I was already halfway there. My sister is going to see if my brother-in-law can pick me up later. If not, I’ll survive.
Welp, at least I have a hot caramel cream coffee. Yummy! And I do focus better here, so at least I’ll get some work done. But it would be nice if the rain would let up for a bit later.
Buuuut, it’s also a good day to continue listening to my Halloween/horror playlist. I wanted something different from what I’ve been listening to, and my family does horror all year round. We don’t wait until October to watch the movies or listen to our playlists lol. It’s also not ALL horror. I have tracks from Nightmare Before Christmas, Casper, Hocus Pocus, The Great Pumpkin, etc. It’s mostly instrumentals, so I can focus on my work.
Anywho, I have a psych call at 1 pm. I need to switch pharmacies; the Rite Aid near my house is closing. I really hope a similar store will take its place. I liked having a place to get my snacks, seasonal items, etc., and it's only about a 5-minute walk one way. But I hate that Rite Aid is closing. That store has been in that spot since I was a little kid, so it’s the end of an era. Anyway, I’m having my prescription sent to Safeway since it’s within walking distance.
Other than my phone call, which is usually short, I plan to work and head home. I think we’re still going to Trivia Night, so I’ll eat closer to when it’s time to leave, so I’m not hungry during the game. I’ll hit the hay when I get home. I’m not entirely sure if I’m posting tonight, so that’s my planned rundown of the day lol.
Alrighty, it’s time to get some work done. You all have a good day/evening, stay safe, and take care. :)

We had non stop rain for two days and that was annoying. Though we have cloudy and rainy days continuing, it's a relief that the rain is not continous.
I am not into horror movies. My daughter watches them year around.

It's the same thing here. It was good to start with rains a few days back. But now, it doesn't seem to stop anytime soon. The only positive is that the temperature has gone down sufficiently.

@arunima25 Yes. I have also read that news that there's going to be heavy rains this season. And that the overall rainfall will also be more than average. I don't know what's more to come.

It's been the same here too. The temperature was very high indeed. When the rains started, everyone welcomed it. And the fun part is, now no one wants it
We humans are so subjective animals

@tammys85 True yes. It was very much needed. But now it's ok. The sun is out again for the third day today.

Well, it’s been raining nonstop since last night... Mate, it's the sixth day of daily and strong rains here. It's been raining heavily. You can say it's been raining cats and dogs here. It's like, it's enough. Just take a brake... Aaahhhh

@tammys85 Oh ho... I'm sorry for that. I just responses from what your post says. It didn't mention what you mentioned in this reply. But yes, I feel like it is a bit better on your side now.
And yes, here is a bit respite from rains since last night. It's sunny and a bit warm. So yes, things are improving this side.
Hope you too get back to your routine soon

@abhi_bangal It's okay! I don't always expect people to respond right away or at all. Apparently, my area was in a drought. I don't know how we still could be, but it's possible.
Things have improved here, it's sunny and warm today. How are things where you live?
I don't mind the cooler air, as I don't like humidity. I like autumn and spring. Winter is my third favorite season, and summer is last for me.

Even in the rainy season, I still have iced coffee... I will never survive the day with a hot coffee, especially on rainy days, it will drive me to sleep even more.

@tammys85 It's so refreshing to have iced coffee, isn't it?
Lol! I think you have a point free refill is always the best, and it can save a lot.
I always go to my favorite cafe because it is cheaper and I earn points. When you have 1OO points, you can get a free Venti Frapuccino or any pastry of your choice.

@luisadannointed Yessss. I had a vanilla iced coffee today.
Yep! Saves money lol. I always have a cold water with it too. Gotta stay hydrated lol.
Starbucks? I don't mind them. I'm more of a Dunkin girl these days. The place I go during the week is a local spot (small business).
