Rainy Thursday Morning

It is a dreary Thursday morning. It's been raining off and on and very cool. Not quite cold but it's not really warm either. I succeeded in getting a fair amount of work done yesterday. I think I'll be cashing out tomorrow. I have been doing that on the first of the month but I'll be at the fire academy next week and I don't think I'll have the time. The shop has been slow and this morning I talked to my husband about just closing it up. He wasn't happy, saying he didn't back me all this time for me to just give up. I heard him and I think it's just everything going on that's getting me down. I'm so close to finishing Wild Love by Elsie Silver and then I'll start Carrie Ann Ryan's ARC. I've been slow reading but I think it's just because there's so much going on. Dad slept all yesterday. His surgery was at 5:30 yesterday morning so that should give you some idea of what all day really is. They woke him up enough to do some minor motor tests and they did an EKG, everything is coming along great. Apparently the doctors expected this so everything is fine. I'm waiting to hear from mom now about anything new and what's going on. My husband's uncle is back in the assisted living place he was in before. The consensus is that there's nothing to do for him except make him comfortable. So now it's just a waiting game. He won't even be lucid anymore, he'll stay out of it until the end. He has a DNR so when it's time, it'll just be time. Everyone's reasoning that they forget the thigs that I say or forget to tell me important information is "There's a lot on my mind" I understand that phrase more than what I think some people realize. I just don't see it as an excuse. I have to worry about my dad. I worry about my mom because she takes care of him. I worry about my husband because of his uncle and not having a job right now. I worry about our financial situation because it's so bleak right now. I worry about the open house our station is having Saturday I worry about this class I'm going to after the monthly meeting sunday because I don't know what I'm walking into I worry about possibly spending $150 earlier this year for nothing because I have yet to finish the moderated classes for being a CPR instructor I worry about starting AEMT class because the amount of information that I'll be learning is so much more than the other classes I took. I worry about the monthly meeting sunday because the extrication call should be talked about and it went pretty bad. I worry about keeping my shop I worry about getting rid of some of the yard sale things. I worry about cleaning the house I worry about no working next week. Does anyone see the trend here? Yet I'm the only one that isn't using what's on my mind as an excuse. The way I feel right now could probably be a whole different post. It also doesn't seem like it matters. Oh well, I have more work to do. What is everyone else up to today? Please let someone be doing something fun so I can live vicariously through you lol

I feel your pain. I worry about a lot of things too. I hope things will improve. I'm glad to hear about your dad but not about your husband's uncle. I hope he passes peacefully when the time comes. Not fun; but they are installing a new garage door and opener today.

@JordanLader Actually other than replacing the broken window which won't be in for 6-8 weeks, I'm done with projects for now. Now I can concentrate on decluttering and downsizing.

@LindaOHio I try to do that about once a month. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When I get back I'll be working on putting my books back in order. There are some I think I doubled but I'm not sure.

At least it's something you can check off your to do list. Sometimes that can be very satisfying.

In Kolkata it's a low pressure rain. Low pressure doesn't mean light rain . It means the rain is caused by an atmospheric low pressure over the Bay of Bengal. The rain will continue for at least three days.

Compared to you I have very few worries. My major worry is the health of my wife, She is doing well just now and has been for the last 30 months but I am aware that this can change overnight. Other worries pale into insignificance except for the money thing. We are ok just now but the.cost of living is squeezing our bank balance quite hard. Something fun, well, I tried fixing a pressure washer today and failed miserably and Yvonne my wife laughed at my.frustration and it's always fun when she laughs lol
