What content do you avoid watching on TV with kids?

Please don't take the question in the wrong sense. I am asking that what content do you avoid watching on TV when you are kids are with you. For many of you, who are reading this, may feel that it could be adult content, right? Though it's not necessarily that. But still there are more such categories that parents feel their kids should not watch.
To give you illustrations I can see kids should not watch content that has more violence in it. Secondly, contact that has more of foul language should also be avoided.
Such things can negatively impact their behavior and can be harmful for them in the long run.
What do you think which contain should you not allow your kids to watch? Have you taught your kids any such things? Or do you have any experience to share? Please do.

Well, have you said that in the lighter sense, or what? I mean, do you really mean what you say?

My parents want to prevent action series content for my niece because she's only eight years old. But I really want to watch my favorite action series weekdays every night.

I think your parents are definitely on the right track. It is such a tender age for any sort of prohibited content. It can be anything that's related to the "F" thing, any foul language, any overly action content where kids are encouraged to fight, etc. So I think yes, your parents are taking the correct decision.

@abhi_bangal that's what my mother said to my father and to my brother because they also like to watch the show. But they also like to watch that action series. My niece prefer to use the smartphone every night we watch the action series.

@cabuyogty For grown ups I think it's not bad, or I'll say, it's ok to watch such shows. Because they have got that maturity to discriminate between what's right and not for them.
But I think it's better to keep children protected.

I do not have children, but I have babysat my nieces and nephew. Obviously anything racy is out, but I don’t want them hearing foul language, see violence, or anything too scary. The last thing I want is them to have nightmares. I end up having them watch some shows from the 1990, when shows were cleaner. Some of their YouTube content is okay, but even some cartoons on YouTube have cursing.

The same used to be here a few years ago. Content used to be a lot better than what we are seeing today. It's really not safe these days for kids. But you know, it's not easy to keep them away from such type of or any sort of content for that matter these days.
Everyone has an easy access to digital content, be it on the TV or on mobiles. Also I personally feel the sensorship is also getting a bit loose day by day, and content creators are also becoming bold.
Kids might surely be accessing their favourite content when away from home or when with their friends.
To add to that it's a simple psychology that whatever parents try to dissuade their children from, they get more curious about those things. So naturally they have an instinct to watch and discuss the content that they shouldn't be at that age.

I've never seen those kind of videos ever. So I can't specifically say what the content might be. But if you are dissuading him from watching, this means there's something that shouldn't be.

@id_peace Ok. I'm getting you. If there are things that are necessary, then I don't see anything wrong in there.

@abhi_bangal it is with peer pressure that he watches this. If he does not watch this, he will be having a gap with the rest of the people and hence they may outcast him.

I don't have children; but I would keep them from watching violent and bad language programs.

Exactly my point. Children should be better protected until a certain stage of their life. In the course of time, some things are bound to happen. But it's better not to go out of the way, and so something prematurely.
