Something funny happened to me

I went to buy some groceries and rode a tricycle (three-wheeled motor), but I stopped by a store to buy bread. I told the driver to wait for a while, and I went in to buy the merchandise.
When I came out, I forgot a tricycle was waiting for me, so I went to the side of the street, trying to call for one.
The surprised tricycle driver called me out and asked: "Where are you going, ma'am? I've been waiting for you here."
I suddenly remembered, I, indeed, instructed him to wait for me, leaving my groceries in his trike.
I couldn't help but laugh out loud when I realized my mistake.
"It's good you noticed me," I said, still laughing.
"I was wondering whether to call your attention or not, because I thought you still have something to buy..." he was smiling.
"OMG, I have forgotten," I said. "Thank you for calling my attention."
And with that, he happily drove me home.
Now that I think about it, I am scared that these cases of my temporary amnesia may result in something more serious.
One time, I misplaced my cellphone and I couldn't find it, until my son called it up to trace its location. It was found on top of the fridge, but I don't remember placing it there.
Is this dementia? I hope not. It's just the ordinary forgetfulness of someone aged 68.

That is quite funny right enough.
I don't think it is Dementia. Normal enough I think.
One time my uncle took his dog to the store, tied the dog up outside, went into the store, bought what he wanted, left by another door and forgot all about the dog.
My aunt asked him where the dog was when he got home.
Then the penny dropped

For some reason I thought you were an awful lot younger than that

It was good the driver knew my home. That's in case I have also forgotten.

I do forget things but have so far not forgotten that I have vehicle waiting for me

@allknowing, I don't want to add more meds to my maintenance meds. Perhaps, if it gets worse, then I should.

@Jenaisle Failing memory is a part of aging but one an handle that with taking memory enhancers.

It's normal to forget sometimes. It's good that the driver reminded you of your ride.

For me l think that is very normal for human being. Most of the time l found myself forgetting too much but l have never thought about that seriously.
