I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their day. I’m at the coffee shop, as usual. I got here rather late, but work was slow this morning. It’s picking up now, but the coffee shop closes at 5 pm, so some of my work will have to wait until tomorrow. It’s fine. I’ll just have to get up earlier, which I’ve been trying to do anyway. When I get home, I need to do some dishes. Then, I’m going to see if my niece can trim my hair (providing she’s home and in a good mood). I want to dye it soon, but I need it trimmed first. I’m touching up the Darkest Berry Burgundy. I bought it on sale at Rite Aid last week for a little under $3. Speaking of which, tomorrow is Rite Aid’s last day before the store’s permanent closure. Man, that sucks. It was more than a pharmacy; it was a place I went for snacks, seasonal stuff, and odds and ends. One of my favorite pastimes is walking to Rite Aid during fall, with the leaves surrounding me and the cool breeze blowing, just to look at their selection of fall (including Halloween and Thanksgiving) stuff. Now, that tradition has come to an end. I’m hoping a similar store will take over the building, even if they’re not open by fall. It’s also a place I’d go to grab a snack or beverage after doctor’s appointments (my doctor is on the same block). I’d go there to look at Christmas stuff, or I’d take a walk to the store just to kill time. Anyway, yeah. As I’ve said before, Rite Aid has been there since I was a kid, so this is definitely the end of an era for me. Alrighty, now that I’ve shared my plans and ranted about a nearby store, I’ve run out of things to say. Sooo, I’m going to get back to work lol. You all enjoy the rest of your day/evening! :) Photo Credit: Pixabay.

Yes indeed and Happy Tuesday to you too Tammy I'm just scrolling through briefly because I am cooking just now. It will be 10pm before my Guinea Fowl is ready lol It's a shame about the store closing after it's basically been there your entire life.. It is the end of an era.

I cooked asparagus yesterday for the first time. Overdid the olive oil and paid for that with a stomach ache. Sooo, today I'll be throwing the asparagus in the frying pan to burn off some of the oil. Trial and error, I guess lol. I hope you enjoy your food! What is Guinea Fowl? Definitely. Today was/is its last day, but they were practically empty over the weekend. I'm lucky I was able to do one last shopping trip last week.

@tammys85 I think I would have put asparagus in a frying pan and cooked it lightly in some butter , salt, and pepper. I have never cooked it so not sure how it would turn out Guinea Fowl. Tasted a bit like Chicken but the leg meat was more reddish I cooked it as I would cook a chicken and also roasted some red peppers, potatoes and carrots. Here is a nice picture of a guinea fowl before ......

@Ineeddentures I'm learning to cook it. Trial and error. I'll just try again with a new batch. I can get asparagus cheap at a store called Aldi's, and I think I'm going on Sunday. Oooh gotcha. It kind of looks like a turkey to me lol. How was it?

Sounds like another store bites the dust. I wonder how long it'll be before stores just stop. I don't think in-person shopping will stop completely, but we are slowly moving from it.

@tammys85 Yeah, I know. I just have to wonder, though. You can even buy food at Amazon if you want. With how online shopping is, and more delivery services becoming a thing.... it's a thought. You're right, it may never happen (at least not in our lifetimes), but you have to wonder what could the world really look like in the future?

I don't think that'll ever happen, but it was shocking to learn of Rite Aid closing. They've been around since forever. :(

@kaylachan I wouldn't want it to happen. Grocery shopping online seems expensive, and sometimes, I like to get out of the house. Plus, we have porch pirates (aka, package thieves) in our area, so I wouldn't put it past some jerk to steal our groceries. That's why I won't have my anxiety medication delivered. I'd rather just go get it myself.

Thank you so much. I haven't dyed it yet, but I would like to either this Sunday or next weekend. And yes, I miss having that store nearby already.
