Qurbani is a key tradition during Eid al-Adha, which is the practice of sacrificing an animal (usually a goat, sheep, or cow), with the meat being shared among family, friends, and the needy. They had this celebration yesterday, the 6th June, 2025. It is a holiday here in Saudi Arabia. Did you celebrate this?

This year's Eid al-Adha is very different, more and more people do not have enough money to sacrifice. The majority of Indonesians are Muslims, but we get along with other religions too.

As a non-Muslim, of course, I am not aware of that tradition. Naturally, however, it was proclaimed a holiday in the Philippines so that our Muslim brothers could celebrate their Muslim festival.

No we don't celebrate that here in the US.

It's not a celebration we really see in Scotland unless our Muslim Scottish brethren do it. I like the idea of it though because it means eating meat and I eat a lot of meat.
