Hit my head and all of a sudden that became a trigger for some bad memories. Has that happened to you, ever?

It seemed fresh, less humid outside and i opened my windows widely but something fell on my rug and i was searching it and when i tried to stand up, i hit my head on the window's part already. Actually, i hit my right side near my front head, more on behind and a very precise hit, as usual.
I felt angry for being so foolish and risking a concusssion; probably not but i held a cold compresssor for 30 minutes.
After that, i was reminded by a bad memory caused between family member and me, with whom i am trying to reconnect. I am also in my PMS so maybe these 2 are combined but i still feel sad, teary, wondering will i ever be able to feel less emotional with this person and not always feeling like walking on eggs.
Almost a month passed after this one incident between her and me so, everything is still fresh and i just can't change my role, that fast. i care but i don't want to see her every day but cause our father came to visit me and her too, we exchanged more messages and socialised more than we should have had, i feel.
That's all from me. I hope i'll calm myself somehow. I'm a 38-year old person but some things obviously still hurt and age is just a number in this case.
Thank you again for listening to me and reading my foolish words. Your wise words will mean a lot to me.

It is not hitting my head, recently I went through old photos and saw a school picture of when I was in 5th grade which brought back sad memories because I had the worst 5th grade teacher ever.

I hope your head doesn't hurt. I have heard that a bump on the head can trigger memory good or bad.

That time you might have lacked focus that led you to that mild accident. Just don't blame yourself. Just massage your head. Your experience with your family isn't easy but just ignore them and think they don't exist to calm your mind and heart.

I hope your head feels better. I'm sorry it triggered bad memories for you. You are 38? You are still a youngster! Have a good week.

Your words are not foolish at all.
Did you happen to hit your temple? You know, the part right above your ear. That’s a very dangerous part to hit, so if so, you just take it easy and monitor your symptoms for the rest of the day.
Can’t say hitting my head has ever triggered any bad memories for me, but has always caused a migraine. Even if I like trip and catch myself and take a little fall.. later on, migraine. Always migraine.
Hope you feel better soon xx

Sometimes, bad memories come back when we are hurt or vulnerable. That's okay. However, dwell more on the present and how you can resolve the past. Since she's a family member, you can't avoid her forever. So, it's best to have a heart-to-heart talk and express what's on your mind in a respectful manner.
Life is too short to hold grudges. Who knows when you'll see her again?
But I am not in a position to be dishing out advice because I don't know the whole story.
Just do what your conscience and heart dictate.

I hope you're okay now. There are times, especially when I am not so busy, when memories would come flashing back. What I would do is to make myself busy again. Like now, I just ordered some plants online so i could start gardening again.

Funnily enough when I crashed a motorbike and hit my head I did suffer really bad flashbacks to when I was younger for a couple of months.
Themdoctor did say the flashbacks could have been caused by the thump on the helmet I got
