Do you have any illnesses? Or are any of your family members sick with some disease? Well we all need to go to the doctor for healing but some people don't have money and are even afraid to talk to doctors. So what else can we Catholics do if this happens?
No the answer is not in going to witchdoctors or some "energy healer", shaman or whatever. Know that they are not of God at all so avoid such people. Jesus healed many sick people, why do we go to anyone else, right?
Even if you're not bedridden yet or dying, as long as you have an illness you can request this sacrament from any priest. The Anointing of the Sick used to be administered to the dying only but since the Second Vatican Council (1963) it has been "restored" to help heal the sick.
Locally we have many stories where the sick people have experienced healing just because they asked a priest for this sacrament. I too have my own story to share. There are those who don't get healed but are definitely strengthened by this sacrament. But hey, have you heard anyone get healed by this too by going to a healing mass where priests anoint those who are ill? Or have you experienced it yet?

Amen. We have several locally but I haven't found any posts in the US and such but for sure there are some out there we just haven't heard of. Unfortunately it's not what the world deems as news worthy material when it happens.
But definitely priests have many stories of such healing from God.

If the sick people are really healed, it is really a good thing. I have heard of many such stories from various faiths. I know one thing from sure that your faith has a big role to play in your healing.

Yes indeed. Jesus said to certain sick people, "your faith have healed you." And so it is not impossible that when we believe God will heal us then it can happen accdg. to His will.
Despite doubts, there are still other people who get healed and then they develop the faith and belief in God. Those miracle stories are out there too.

@owstalaga Miracles do happen. There are things beyond human understanding and comprehension. Our logics don't work every time.
