My daughter in law and I woke up at 4:49 am, 11 minutes earlier than my alarm. Since we slept at the office, we don't need to worry of being late for today's activity. She prepared coffee while I folded the beddings and placed those inside the bag.
We were ready by 6 am. I am wearing a black dress with a cream shawl on top. It's a modern Maria Clara dress. I chose this instead of the usual Filipiniana dress I wore during Flag Raising ceremonies.
The activity started at around 6:30 am with an opening prayer and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. After that an opening message was given by the local chief executive of the municipality. The activity was participated in by school heads and teachers of the different schools in the area, head of villages, other National Government Agencies and the employees and other personnel of the local government unit.
The major part of the activity was the wreath-laying at the Rizal monument. Each office was being called by the emcee when it's their turn to offer wreath. My staffs and my daughter in law joined me in offering the wreath.
After the activity, we pose for some photos and we decided to go home since it is a holiday.
How's your day friends?

Happy Independence Day
I used to think how happy I would be if Scotland had an Independence Day.
Sadly it will never happen in my lifetime.
So I do envy you.

Because the people voted to remain as part of the United Kingdom in 2014.
All these so called.true Scots sh1t themselves at the prosoect of not being spoonfed by their English masters
I try my best not to speak to these so called Scots people. They are not true Scots
They let our nation down because the believed the lies told to get.them to vote to stay in the UK
Most of.tbem.wisj they had voted to be Free now.
But sadly it's too late

Belated wishes for Philippines Independence day celebrations.
Having read and seen movies and TV shows showing how much sacrifices people made for Independence I can appreciate how important this day is for you.
The picture is fabulous and all folks look quite fashionable.
Enjoy your time !

I wonder how difficult it was for those who came from home to be present at the ceremony at 6.30 in the morning.
Happy Independence Day

Most of the participants are local residents of the municipality so it would be easy for them to attend. Only few came from other places like me because I am a National Government employee assigned in this place.
