Just got a phone call...

...from the AT&T guy, and he said he's in Windsor, which is about 35 miles away from the town where I live. He also said that he will be doing the set-up, which surprised me a bit. It was my tech-savvy neighbor who told me that they would probably just leave the stuff outside my door and that he (my neighbor) would come and set it up for me, but I guess that won't be necessary.
My neighbor also said that he would take me to the UPS place and return my X-finity equipment. That's fine with me.
So, I guess I'll be off the computer for a while.
I be sure and let you know when I'm back online!
(Just got a text that says he should be here by 12:15 p.m.)

While ATT does offer plug-and-play options, in-person installs are required when you switch from a provider that may not share the same infistructure. When I went from their dsl/cable, to fiber, I needed an in-person install.

He said something to that effect, too.

@xstitcher Yeah, I figured as much. While it's similar in a lot of ways, it's vastly different, too.

I hate AT&T. I used to work for them until they moved my job overseas. Hopefully they wont need to run cables around your home to get it working.
