It was $3.07 per gallon plain unleaded but today it's suddenly $3.19.
I sort of expected it to jump Monday after the USA bombed Iran over the weekend, but it didn't.
But then Iran has closed of the Strait of Hormuz.
That's just an excuse to raise gas prices though because that oil hasn't even been refined and made into fuel yet. The fuel in the tanks now already came purchased at a lower price, so why raise the price on what you already paid less for?
Gas prices are fickle. They gouge us here during holiday weekends and peak tourist times and Spring Break.
How are gas prices where you are?

Our prices go down over the course of the day, they lower them at 7pm, which is when I like to gas up.
But on the weekends, they are guaranteed to jump .13 - .15 per L and that is unfortunate because that is when most people are out and about.
Our refineries will close down this week for the summer shut down when the workers in that sector take vacation.
We've learned not to go away during that time unless we want to pay extra at the gas stations.
But it is all a part of inflation, and the diesel fuel will increase, which will give the grocers something blame their price hikes on. It is the circle of our money's life it seems.

I will probably notice when I get gas later today or tomorrow. But I agree with you regarding the gouging how something can happen yesterday and reflect price increase today.
