It is a good morning. I actually got some sleep last night after a really long day.
Nothing happened at EMS yesterday. Absolutely nothing. Which is good and bad. Means people didn't need us but then it also means I was bored all freaking day lol.
I did get some work done and some notes taken.
Today I'm at Chris's. That means computer work.
I'm trying to save up to expand my shop so I'm working as much as I can and building up for gift cards. I can do it, I just need to focus.
I was finally able to pay the rent at the store I put my inventory in. I'm thankful to have an understanding "landlord" for lack of a better term. I rent the bookcase I display my items on. Hopefully next month I'll only be a week late as both our checks will be going to the overdraft in our account then we'll be even on that.
Hubby starts his new job on Monday so that's a plus. His pay days will be aligned with mine so this should be great. In a few months I very well may be able to stay home. I have a few goals to hit before I quit Chris but it'll probably be by the end of the year.
I'm working on getting a CPR class in. I still need two to be able to turn in my instructor paperwork. Once that's done it'll be another self-employment for me.
I'm also saving for my caregiver certification. That's a hundred fifty dollars and again I can be self-employed. I can set my price per hour and that feels good. If I remember right the state starts at freaking eighteen an hour while I'm here getting paid sixteen.
There are still notes to be taken from the educator book but I did make progress last night. I'll make more today at some point.
I am truly blessed with some great friends though. Kristie went through her freezer yesterday and we got so much beef. So much so that we have dinner for at least a month. I put a roast in the slow cooker last night and it was done by this morning. We put the gravy in before I left for work and I'll make mashed potatoes when I get home before we go see dad.
Dad is doing better. We still need to get him to eat and drink more but he's actually trying now. He claims he's going to be out in ten days. I think he can get out sooner than they say but I don't see him getting out in ten days. I like the determination though.
There's more laundry to do so we'll probably get that done Saturday.
Vacuuming of course needs done and some minor sweeping.
I need to get the fourth of July stuff up to the shop. Probably do that tomorrow as I forgot the bag today.
As for the shop, we're doing well. I have a new lip gloss, new shirts, and a few new epoxy things. I love the red, white and blue pyramid that I just did. It turned out beautiful. There's also a new windspinner and I found the tumblers that I made. They're really neat. One says Red, White and Boating with a boat on it. They're just neat.
I'm hoping to be able to sell some of the yard sale stuff. I know that I can't have an actual yard sale because of all the rain but I'm still utilizing Facebook Marketplace. Fingers crossed I can get rid of some more stuff and clean out my house. It's going to have to be done whether I sell it or not because we need space.
What is everyone else doing today? It's hot and rainy here.

This is just normal for me. That's not counting the letter to my fire chief that is in continuous re-write as I think of more minor changes to our SOG's and I'm trying to plan a few lessons or mini classes to bring public education more into the department. At some point I also plan on starting classes for my advanced medical license.

Sounds like things are falling into place and your shop is doing well. I hope you dad's recovery goes well and he gets out of there soon!!
I'm cleaning out my car or finishing it today as a wasp stung me and stopped the task yesterday. Then it goes to the dealer and I bring my new car home. Yay!

@JordanLader With all the boats and boat trailers here, they seem to be flocking. I need to go pick up a case of wasp spray!

Thanks for the update. I'm glad your Dad is doing better. Hoping to get some rain today. It's really dry here. Weed guy and his landscaping friend are putting down mulch today. Have a good weekend.
