My allergist's office sends out period emails with helpful information about how to fight or treat seasonal allergies and I thought these might be helpful to share with you. In addition to the obvious like taking either over-the-counter allergy meds or prescription meds, etc. they recommend the following: Use a HEPA filter in your bedroom and main living areas Keep windows closed during high pollen seasons Shower after spending time outdoors Wash bedding weekly in hot water Use dust-mite-proof pillow and mattress covers Their email to me said that environmental changes can make a big difference. Do you already do these things? Do you suffer from allergies?

I don't really do much. I try to keep common areas clean and avoid harsh chimicals.

I've considered dust-mite-proof pillow and mattress covers but they're expensive.

@LooeyVille And you can't really prove that they are what they claim.

This is paramount to live like this with my son. Because of all the exposure to toxins in all the dumps we lived in..he has permanent damage.. Everything here must be sanitized and free of allergens. Those dust mites covers are vital here.

Not really, but sometimes I will get sneeze attacks that just seem to come out of nowhere. I just had one at the gas station while I was gassing up..sneezed about 10x in a row for no apparent reason.

I change and wash bedsheets and pillow cases every ten days. I just try to keep things clean around me. Don't have any severe allergy as such but yes, at times something triggers sneezing and it does not stop unless I have sneezed a dozen times.

I always shower at night to get the day’s allergens off of me, including my hair. And I change my pillow cases twice a week (I sleep on my couch so there are no sheets to change).
