A few weeks ago, I was in Delhi and have been travelling by metro for my convenience. One day, I decided to visit one of the popular marketplaces, and while changing metros, I found this staircase. It looks motivating to go up; however, what I have observed is that an escalator was also just next to this staircase. So, the passengers prefer to use escalators rather than walking up the staircase. Many times, I saw and even me, preferred to use the escalator rather than using the stairs, no matter how crowded the escalators were.
...
I rarely use stairs unless I have enough time or not rushing to reach my destination.

Depends on how many people are on the escalator as opposed to the stairs. I’m all about speed and will climb the escalator like it is stairs, taking a boost from the motor.
However, I don’t want to get stuck behind someone just standing on the escalator and so if the escalator is crowded, I’m taking the stairs.

I agree with you !! We have to be very conscious about our surrounding and belonging while using crowded escalator

@Ineeddentures I generally feel more relaxed once I'm on my chosen train and its moving. I find motion, whether trains, planes, bikes, or cars, to be soothing to the nerves.
Walking is okay as a relaxer, but all that goes out the window when I'm trying to get somewhere, preferably 15 minutes early, hopefully on time, and working the problem with my legs and brain cells.

It depends. I may use stairs if I'm not inna hurry and escalator if I am. If you want to stretch your legs, stairs are recommended.

I remember when my foot hurts, I had to take the elevator, but the staircase is my favourite because it helps you exercise and burn calories.
