Mixed Up My Two New Cards Today

Sigh. I'm such a dolt!
We opened a new checking account and credit card at a new bank two weeks ago.
The new credit card came in Saturday's mail. The new debit card came in yesterday's mail. I hadn't used either one.
At lunch today I paid because I need to accumulate X number of spending on my credit card in the next 90 days to earn a free $750 bonus. So I pulled out my card and gave it to the server.
But it was my Debit Card that I pulled out, not my Credit Card. They're both the same color blue and look pretty much identical.
I rarely use a Debit Card and it was clearly my intent to use a Credit Card.
D'oh!
So when I got back home I took a big piece of masking tape and wrote "DEBIT CARD" on that card so I wouldn't get it confused again with the Credit Card.

I have that problem with my paypal debit cards. They are both idenitcal, but have different dollar amounts on them. I often grab one when I meant to get the other. I need to put something on one to remember which one it is.

Just now
I wonder why the cards are the same colour.
There must be a reason
Easy to mix them up.
