How I think the Texan Disaster Will Play

Considering the cuts to the Meterological Service, the disaster in Texas had a very human element...that is the lack of humans. Considering Elon Musk was in charge of DOGE and made the cuts, Trump has a sharp blade. I suspect he'll blame Musk and say he should never have relied on him. In this way, he takes no responsibility save appointing Musk...he should add he was deceived by Musk. This will not only clear Trump's name, but dirty Musk's and sink his aspirations. It is likely many people will take Musk's money to vote for his candidate but not do so, as a tribute to Trump. Anyway, I just got some more pop corn.

Those cuts don't take place until the end of July. The DOD sharing will end, however a new satellite dedicated to Hurricane forecasting was launched in April of this year. The disaster in Texas had nothing to do with satellite forecasting sharing from the DOD, DOGE, Trump or Musk. Enjoy your popcorn.

@jaylar Yes. There was no shortage of forecasters, the DOD satellite is still sharing information, local and National weather services were not affected by any cuts by DOGE. You post a shabby news article that's really opinion, filled with mays and mights and could. I say it's sad you can sit there and place blame on an Administration for a natural disaster that no one could cause or prevent. Please. Monitoring weather for a tiny island makes your monitoring and predictions superior to those of the US? Again, please.

@Vikingswest1 In my country, I... who am afraid of hurricanes... joined the Parish Disaster Committee. I, due to confronting my fear, was position near a particular river which flooded the area. I was there, seeing the dry river bed fill until it just touched the bottom of the bridge... no higher. So there is no one in Texas who monitors flooding. No one who would go outside... near the river to see what was happening?
