Israeli prime minister and some african country president nominate Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

July 10, 2025 9:30pm CST
President Trump seems to be getting more endorsement for a nobel peace prize these days as the Israeli prime minister and at least 4 African presidents have nominated him for the prize. They gave different reasons for this and one wonders if they did so genuinely.

We will never know a few things in public, especially if there is any hidden agenda behind it.

@abhi_bangal there is a 'hidden agenda'. Trump can be controlled easily. Bow the knee, pay compliments, act as if you're impressed. It is easy play him, Putin has been doing it for years. Musk did it but was so obvious we all know how to do it.

@jaylar When someone bows down, pays compliments, speaks good about you... All this may not necessarily be true to someone. I wonder how people can't even understand that they are being flattered. Poor!

It’s true that President Trump has received several nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize, including from leaders like the Israeli Prime Minister and some African presidents. These nominations often cite his role in the Abraham Accords and other diplomatic efforts during his term, particularly in the Middle East, as achievements toward peace. However, these endorsements also raise questions. While supporters view his actions as bold and unconventional diplomacy, others point to contradictions. For instance, his administration ordered a targeted bombing in Iran that escalated tensions in the region. Critics also highlight his administration’s often ambiguous stance on global conflicts — notably the lack of strong response during Russian aggression in Ukraine and later, his advocacy for pulling back U.S. military support from Ukraine, which many view as weakening international resistance to war. These contrasting actions show how complex the path to peace can be. Nominations to the Nobel Peace Prize don’t always mean universal agreement — they often reflect political alliances, differing definitions of peace, or personal admiration. In the end, the Nobel Committee will weigh not just individual acts but their broader and lasting impact. Whether one supports or questions Trump’s nomination, it opens an important discussion about what true peacemaking looks like in today’s world.

@jaylar You have a point, but the question here is, does he deserve to be given the Nobel Peace Prize?
