Well that was pleasantly unexpected...

Maybe an hour after I posted the previous post, ("Jeez") the guy called back. He said he'd like me to come over and meet his dog and could I come this evening. Sure, why not. I passed the mobile home park where he said he lived all the time on the bus. I went to catch the bus, and missed the 6 p.m. one, and texted the guy and told him that I'd have to wait for the 6:30 bus. He texted back "No worries." I got to the mobile home park, and turned left when I should have turned right. I couldn't find #51, the guy's address, so I called. He said I'd turned on the wrong street, and he'd come out. He did, and he took me over to his mobile home, where I met his dog--I think he said she was a Great Dane/Mastiff mix. He also said she was super shy, and sure enough she wouldn't come near me. Poor thing had just had surgery and had a big cone on, too. The guy wanted someone to come over twice a day and let her out, and the first day I do it would be Saturday. The rest of the time will be Monday, anywhere from 3-5 p.m., and from then on Tuesday through Saturday once in the morning and once in the evening. We worked out $25 a visit. Works for me! I left to get the bus, (there was a stop right outside the mobile home park) and since I wasn't sure when it would come I walked a bit in the direction of home. After walking a few blocks, I realized it would be a bit far. A bus had gone by in the other direction while I was walking, so I stopped at the next bus stop and waited for it to come back, then took it the rest of the way home. Thanking the Lord that this worked out. Hope all is well with you in your part of myLot land!
